The Simple Truth...Love

"All You Need Is Love", John Lennon said it well. That simple truth is so profound. It truely is the answer to any question. If I can wrap my mind around that truth and align any decisions I have to make with it... I can't go wrong. God is Love/Love is God.

There is no fear in Love. What can separate you from the Love of God? According to scripture...nothing. (Rom.8:31-39) It's insane then to fret and worry over any perceived storm, whatever that is to you. If God/Love is in you, He is for you. Would you agree? So what then can destroy God. What foe is formidable against God? Against you, if God/Love is in you? If you believe that, there is no fear, no worry, no dread.

We are instructed to filter every thought through the Phil. 4:8 filter. "Think on things that are true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious--best, not the worst, the beautiful, not ugly, things to praise, not things to curse." (phil. 4;8) All that can be summed up in one word, "Love." If what's going on inside your head doesn't meet this criteria, let it go! To focus on anything else is insanity. God can not be threatened. God can not be in danger. God has no lack or need of anything. God knows no fear. God is perfect Love. God is total Peace. God is complete Joy. God/Love offers nothing less to the sons of God. In God/Love we are complete and entire, wanting nothing. Love is the only truth.

Love, that's it? That's THE answer? It's that simple. Be careful not to trip over it's simplicity though. I have done that. So blinded by illusions of self-importance and whatever delimma I thought was looming, I tripped and stumbled over the simple truth that is Love. Everything we experience in this physical body is a kind and loving teacher, a guide to bring us back to this simple truth, Love.

"If I speak with human eloquence and angelic ecstasy but don't love, I'm nothing but the creaking of a rusty gate.
If I speak God's Word with power, revealing all his mysteries and making everything plain as day, and if I have faith that says to a mountain, "Jump, and it jumps, but I don't love, I'm nothing.
If I give everything I own to the poor and even go to the stake to be burned as a martyr, but I don't love, I've gotten nowhere.
So no matter what I say, what I believe, and what I do, I'm bankrupt without love.

Love never gives up.
Love cares more for others than for self.
Love doesn't want what it doesn't have.
Love doesn't strut,
Doesn't have a swelled head,
Doesn't force itself on others,
Isn't always "me first"
Doesn't fly off the handle,
Doesn't keep score of the sins of others,
Doesn't revel when others grovel,
Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth,
Puts up with anything,
Trusts God always,
Always looks for the best,
Never looks back,
But keeps going to the end.

Love never dies.... Trust steadily in God, hope unswervingly, love extravagantly. And the best of the three is love." (I Cor. 13)
