In the Now with the Tao, By Debra Janosko

I've been enjoying a book by Dr. Wayne Dyer, "Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life" for a few years now. This book was written after Dr. Dyer's yearlong research, contemplation, and application of the Tao Te Ching. In it Dr. Dyer takes each of the 81 verses of the "Tao Te Ching," records the verse for you, and offers his commentary. Most Definitely worth a read. Oh, this might be helpful.... What is the "Tao Te Ching"? The words literally mean, "living the great way." A book of wisdom writen by Lao Tzu, a prophet who was keeper of the imperial archives in the ancient capital of Luoyang. It is a Chinese classic. A valuable resource for achieving integrity, joy, peace, and balance. What I find interesting about the Tao (pronounced Dow De Ching), is that it was written 500 years before the birth of Christ. Yet the Tao and Chirst's teachings are so parallel. In my copy I have penciled in the margins coordinating verses from the Bible. There are other ancient writings that share this same wisdom. Such profound wisdom unmistakably comes from one Devine Source. A thought that should serve to unite us. When you find other spiritual texts that echo the wisdom of the ones you embrace, it should only help you to embrace and love yours more. A word from many witnesses must be true.

I will be attempting, for the next 81 days, to incorporate these 81 verses of the Tao into my day-to-day. One verse at a time, one day at a time. My hope is to inspire you alittle and make you laugh alot. I will also be sharing coordinating verses from the Bible. This should be interesting. Comments always welcomed.
